The variable adopted by the study is the effect of the dry season and rainy season on ecological diversity in southeast Nigeria. The study adopts an in-depth review of existing literature that relates to the theme under consideration. The result revealed that the dry season has a significant negative effect on ecological diversity, it shows dry seasons always produce high levels of water scarcity in ecological diversity while the rainy season has a significant positive effect on ecological diversity, it shows that the rainy season always produces enough water for the ecological diversity. We concluded that there is always a high level of water scarcity during the dry season, which results in water harassment while there is always enough water during the rainy season.
