Position Details

Editor-in-Chief

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the journal's editorial vision and strategy
  • Lead editorial board meetings and decision-making processes
  • Oversee peer review workflow and maintain quality standards
  • Develop special issues and thematic collections
  • Represent the journal at international conferences and events

Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant field with 10+ years of research experience
  • Prior editorial experience at reputable peer-reviewed journals
  • Strong publication record with significant citations
  • Excellent leadership, mentorship, and communication skills

Associate Editor

Responsibilities

  • Handle manuscript submissions from initial screening to final decision
  • Select and invite appropriate peer reviewers for each submission
  • Manage review timelines and ensure timely completion
  • Make editorial recommendations based on reviewer feedback
  • Communicate professionally with authors throughout the process

Requirements

  • PhD with 5+ years postdoctoral or faculty experience
  • Published author with knowledge of peer review processes
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Copy Editor

Responsibilities

  • Edit manuscripts for grammar, clarity, style, and formatting consistency
  • Ensure compliance with journal-specific style guides and requirements
  • Check references, citations, and supplementary materials for accuracy
  • Collaborate with authors to resolve queries and improve readability

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or related field
  • 2+ years of copy editing experience, preferably in academic publishing
  • Native or near-native English proficiency
  • Familiarity with style guides (APA, Chicago, etc.)
